Located on Lake Mattoon in central Illinois, developmentally disabled children and adults have been enjoying activities at Camp New Hope since 1974. They are Illinois’ premiere facility for recreational programs for special needs individuals, offering several programs that bring fun, adventure, companionship, and activity to people of all ages with various disabilities.
Camp New Hope lies on 41 rolling acres on the shores of Lake Mattoon, which bring campers the excitement of fishing, paddle boats, and pontoon water activities. The facilities’ includes a three-foot swimming pool, a mini-golf course, easy access asphalt trails, a playground, and the Camp New Hope Train. Cabins are air conditioned.
Bob Oetting and Associates has a connection with Camp New Hope with the personal experience of Jason Oetting (1968-2012). Jason loved life and we miss him. Agencies like Camp New Hope deserve support as their mission is to cater to those with special needs and make a difference to those who attend. Jason saw himself as a helper more than a client at Camp New Hope, but that is what this type of organization can provide. Increase self-esteem, treated normal by those with a real passion for caring.
Jason was able to learn and further improve his skills in fishing while at Camp. The week camps do provide a break to the family, but we believe it benefits the camper as much.
For every new like we get from now until December 31, 2013 we will donate $1.00 to Camp New Hope. (up to $1000.00) We are passionate about this non-profit and want to give back.
